BREASTMILK FEEDING BOTTLE

The Nanobébé Breastmilk Feeding Bottle was specifically designed to protect the vital nutrients in breast milk. How? It's all about the geometry. By spreading the milk into a thin layer across our concave surface, breastmilk is able to both cool and warm 2-3 times faster in the Nanobébé Breastmilk Feeding Bottle than in standard bottles.

Quick Cooling: The longer breast milk is left out at room temperature, the more bacteria within continues to grow, reducing its nutritional value. It is beneficial to cool breast milk as quickly as possible so that the immunological properties inside go towards baby's nutrition rather than to fighting the bacterial growth.

Quick and Even Warming: The popular method of using boiling water to warm breast milk is not recommended by health professionals and the World Health Organization because of the likelihood of overheating the milk, which damages nutrients, and the risk of hot spots, which are dangerous for your baby. As a live biological fluid, breast milk begins to deteriorate above body temperature, so it is recommended to warm it gently using warm tap water. Nanobébé's Breastmilk Feeding Bottle allows for quick and even warming at safe temperatures, to quickly and healthily satisfy your baby's immediate hunger needs.

Great question! Because different needs require different feeds, our team has developed the most advanced baby bottles on the market to offer the complete feeding solution for your little one’s nourishment needs.

If you are breastfeeding and expressing breast milk, our award-wining Nanobébé Breastmilk Feeding Bottle is the optimal choice for its nutrient-preserving benefits, as well as its mom-like shape and teat - which encourage a smooth, instinctual transitions between breast and bottle and back, without teat confusion. The soft grip base is easy for tiny hands to grab to advance self-feeding and fine motor skills. Moms love that you can pump, store, warm (2X faster than standard bottles) and feed right from the same bottle - super convenient and easy to clean. Did we mention they stack?

If you are formula feeding, our brand-new Flexy Silicone Baby Bottle is the perfect choice! It ’s mom-like softness encourages the warm feeding bond between parent and child, and its innovative 360° triple-vented anti-colic teat is one of a kind. Fun fact: The Flexy Bottle features the same teat as our award-winning Breastmilk Feeding Bottle for the perfect latch and the smoothest transition from breast milk to formula.

The breast pump adapter that is included with our Breastmilk Feeding Bottle, Starter Set, and Newborn Gift Set is compatible with most standard size neck pumps (for example: Medela or Ameda). If you have a wide neck pump (e.g. Spectra), we have a Breast Pump Adapter Set, sold separately.

Note that most wearable pumps and manual pumps use built-in containers and cannot pump directly into our bottles or storage bags. However, you can transfer any expressed milk from the pump into our bottles or storage bags for convenient, stackable storage.

  1. Remove storage cap or teat and ring prior to assembling the bottle.
  2. Simply push the bottle body firmly into the base (do not attempt to twist shut).
  3. To stack and store: secure with twist-on flat storage cap. Store in the refrigerator or freezer.
  4. To warm: replace the storage cap with the teat, make sure the teat and base are both securely attached, and then warm in the warmer of your choice.
  5. To feed: secure twist on teat with ring onto the top of the bottle body tightly, making sure all parts are evenly aligned and sealed tight.
  1. Remove storage cap or teat and ring prior to disassembling the bottle.
  2. Simply push down on the lip on the base to release the base from the body.

Follow these steps to make sure that your Nanobébé bottle does not leak:

  1. Make sure all bottle parts are thoroughly cleaned and dried prior to assembly.
  2. Ensure that the storage cap or teat are OFF the bottle body prior to attaching it to the base.
  3. Securely press the bottle body onto the base and check to make sure that it is sealed tightly all the way around.
  4. It is crucial to warm your milk with the teat on, not the storage cap. Warming with the storage cap on can create an air pressure build-up that could lead to a potential opening at the base. The teat's ventilation will prevent this. Only use warm, never boiling, water.
  5. When attaching the teat, be sure to align the threading and screw on tightly.

Yes, all Nanobébé bottles are BPA, phthalate, and lead free! Your baby’s safety is of utmost importance to us

Yes! Our bottle teats feature an advanced venting system that fights colic by reducing air pressure inside the bottle during feeding.

Yes! Nanobébé bottles can be used for breast milk storage in the freezer with the safety cap in place. In addition, we also provide convenient storage via our Breastmilk Storage Bags.

Every baby is different and has their own preferences when it comes to bottles. The Breastmilk Feeding Bottle's familiar, breast-like shape helps many babies to instinctively know where to place their head, hands, and mouth.

Additionally, ours is one of the slowest flow rate nipples on the market, which most closely resembles actual breastfeeding. We have heard countless stories of babies and preemies who have been unable to transition from breast to bottle easily, but who have transitioned smoothly to ours.

Yes! The included storage caps also make your bottles stackable for space-saving convenience.

Yes! Nanobébé bottles come with teat covers.

Because of the Breastmilk Feeding Bottle's unique, wide design, it may not fit in traditional bottle warmers, but don't worry!

If your Nanobébé bottle doesn't fit in your daycare's bottle warmer, they can simply use any bowl to warm this bottle. Just add warm tap water and swirl the bottle until the milk is the right temperature. Or you can provide them with our designated Breastmilk Feeding Bottle Warming Bowl , which is specially designed to accommodate the Nanobébé bottle.

Since our Breastmilk Feeding Bottles conveniently stack, we designed a Travel Cooler specifically for feeding baby on the go! Simply use the included storage caps to stack the bottles, and store your teats in the lower zipper pouch for when you’re ready to feed.

If you still have half or a quarter of breast milk in the bottle after baby feeds, you can put it back in the fridge and offer this bottle again, but ONLY at your next feeding - after that, it should be disposed of and a fresh supply used.

"Used" breast milk can become contaminated when bacteria from your baby's mouth transfers into the bottle during feeding. If you find yourself with leftover milk after each feeding, use the volume indicator on the side of the bottle to measure how much they are regularly drinking and only put that much in each bottle, then add more once your baby begins regularly drinking it all.

Although this bottle was specifically designed for breast milk, we have heard from many happy formula feeding moms that their babies also love the shape and feel of drinking from this bottle. We also suggest trying our Flexy Silicone Bottle, which is designed to accommodate all feeding styles.

This bottle was developed with the advice of lactation consultants, for the ideal length, feel, and teat angle, to accommodate paced feeding, which most closely mimics breastfeeding.

We recommend that when feeding your baby, you hold the bottle with the teat parallel to the ground, with the measurement scale facing up, which will allow the best flow for paced feeding.

Transitioning a little one from breast to bottle can be difficult, but we have been so happy to hear that many babies have taken to our bottle when they haven't to others. We know that every baby is different, so we partnered with a paediatrician to create this article on preventing teat confusion!

Yes. Our Breastmilk Feeding Bottle comes with a slow flow teat that was developed with the advice of lactation consultants, for the ideal length, feel and teat angle, to accommodate paced feeding, which most closely mimics breastfeeding.

Additionally, our baby bottle teats have a special venting system that releases air pressure and helps everything from gas and colic, to upset tummies and ear infections. Our biomedical engineers conduct high performance tests on all parts and aspects of our bottle.

BREASTMILK STORAGE BAGS

Our Breastmilk Storage Bags hold your milk in a flat, shallow layer, which helps it cool quickly to reduce bacterial growth. The flat design also thaws milk quickly and evenly, which helps preserve those precious nutrients.

Breast milk should be collected in a feeding bottle, then poured into the bag for storage. If using your Nanobebe Breastmilk Feeding Bottle, ensure that the breast pump adapter is attached to the bottle when transferring breast milk into the bag to prevent spills.

The organiser holds between 5-10 of your Nanobebe Breastmilk Storage Bags (25 included with purchase), depending on the volume mom has pumped. Refill bags can be purchased separately.

We recommend following these breastmilk storage guidelines:

(not for preterm babies)

Room temperature: 66-78°F (19-26°C) for 4-6 hours

Cooler with ice packs: 59° F (15°C) for 24 hours

In a refrigerator: <39°F (<4°C) up to 5 days

In a freezer: 0-4°F (-18—15°C) up to 12 months

Sticking to these guidelines will ensure your breast milk retains all the nutrients that are vital for your baby’s health.

No. Since breast milk is a biological fluid that risks bacterial growth, it should always be secured in a sterilized environment. Our bags are pre-sterilized for utmost breast milk safety, and are therefore disposable and should not be used more than once. Our refill bags are available separately.

Yes. Our Breastmilk Storage Bags are durable, leak-proof, made from extra-thick plastic, and feature a double-zipper to prevent any spillage of your precious breast milk.

Don’t let our size and stylish shape fool you, our bags hold the industry standard of 150ml. They look small because they store flat (thin layer), which has the double benefit of protecting your nutrients and saving space in your fridge and freezer.

FLEXY PACIFIER

The Flexy Pacifier’s unique ergonomic shape is designed to stay firmly in your baby’s mouth without the safety risks straps provide, but most pacifier clips/straps will be able to attach. Pacifier clips that have loops work best as you can loop through the holes on the pacifier.

The 0-3 month Flexy Pacifiers have a softer teat for those early newborn stages. It is as soft as skin, and the silicone is so flexible that it elongates comfortably for newborns, to help prevent teat confusion. Our orthodontic 3m+ size Flexy Pacy is perfect for older babies. With a slightly firmer feel, it compliments growing babies as they are teething and meets the oral development needs for your baby's growth.

Peel the clear sticker on the side of the case holding the 2 sides together and it will easily open.

The highest medical grade silicone available on the market.

For safety and hygiene purposes it is recommended that you replace your pacifier after 4-8 weeks.

We recommend that you wash the pacifier in hot soapy water or on the top shelf of your dishwasher. You can also take the extra step of sterilizing it in the Nanobebe Microwave Steam Sterilizer. This will provide a clean, germ-free pacifier for your baby.

Yes! The Flexy Silicone Bottle has the same teat as our award winning Breastmilk Feeding Bottle, so they are interchangeable when you switch over from one bottle to the next. They provide smooth transitions, feature 5 teat flow rates, and an innovative 360° triple vented anti-colic venting system.

Yes, our Flexy Bottle can be warmed in a variety of warmers. However, it is easiest to simply pour in the desired temperature water, add formula scoop(s), shake, and you are ready to go.

Per industry standard, the bottles come with slow flow teats. We have teats with 5 flow rates available (preemie, slow, medium, fast, and Y- cut) to meet the feeding needs of your little one at every stage. Our teats have a one of a kind 360° anti-colic triple venting system, and are non-collapsible to keep the perfect latch.

Occasionally when opening a new silicone bottle, you may notice a subtle odor. This is completely natural, and you can rest assured that we use the best medical grade silicone and that it is 100% safe and non-toxic for baby.

If you notice after sterilizing and thoroughly cleaning the bottles that there is still a slight odor, we recommend sterilizing the bottles again in boiling water for 5 minutes with a tablespoon of baking soda and letting them air dry. If this doesn’t fully get the job done, you can fill the bottle with warm water and add a teaspoon of baking soda. Leave this overnight, clean thoroughly in the morning, and you should be good to go!

Yes! Our Flexy Silicone Bottle features the same amazing teat as our award-winning Breastmilk Feeding Bottle. It comes in the box with a Slow-flow teat, and 5 different flow rates are available to accommodate your little one: Preemie, Slow, Medium, Fast, and Y-Cut.

GENERAL QUESTIONS

Yes, our products can be sterilized using UV sterilizers.

MICROWAVE STEAM STERILIZER

The Nanobébé Microwave Steam Sterilizer is made to fit in nearly all commercially-available microwaves. It measures 24.9 cm x 24.9 cm x 17 cm (width x depth x height). When in doubt, we recommend checking the interior measurements of your microwave to make sure.

Yes. Our Microwave Steam Sterilizer fits most bottles and infant feeding products on the market today. The adjustable pegs can be moved around the sterilizer to fit your bottles and accessories as needed.

Simply pour 200ml of water into the base through the perforated tray and then add your bottles and other accessories. Sterilize and enjoy your clean, germ free baby care goods!

As all microwaves vary. See our guidelines below:

WATTAGE MICROWAVE TIME COOLING TIME

Up to 850w.........8 minutes............................10 minutes

850-1000w.........6 minutes.............................10 minutes

1000w+...............4 minutes.............................10 minutes

Yes, your baby’s bottles will need washing in hot soapy water or in a dishwasher (top rack only) to remove any milk residue. After washing: sterilize for clean, hygienic, germ-free products.

Whatever fits your needs the best. If you require to use the pegs to fit your bottles and accessories then do so. Otherwise it’s perfectly fine to place the items directly on the rack.

SLIM DRYING RACK

No. Our Slim Drying Rack is perfect for all baby bottles, pump parts, and accessories.

The pegs are detachable, so you can arrange them in whichever way suits your drying needs. Two peg heights accommodate all bottle and accessory sizes.

Our Slim Drying Rack features a detachable drip tray to collect excess water, which should be emptied and washed regularly. Wash in hot soapy water, rinse in clean water, and let dry. Do not boil or steam. Do not use bleach or any other harsh chemicals.

The pegs are detachable, so you can arrange them in whichever way suits your drying needs, but if you prefer not to use any pegs and lay products flat, that works too.

TRANSITIONAL FEEDING BOTTLE

The difference between the two bottles is simply the volume they can hold. The breastmilk feeding bottle holds up to 150ml as opposed to the stage 2 transitional feeding bottle which can hold up to 240ml so your baby can grow with our bottles!

Our Stage 2 240ml Transitional bottle includes our size 2 medium flow teat, for the most comfortable flow to accommodate newborns and young babies, who are ready to move on to the bigger bottle size. Our other size teats, preemie, slow, fast, and Y-cut are also available, so our bottle can grow with your baby at every stage!

Once your baby is able to drink more than 150ml, then it is time to upgrade to the stage 2 Transitional Feeding Bottle.

Absolutely! If your baby is still drinking out of a bottle, yes.

They will fit, yes, however the scale on the side of the bottle will be inaccurate.

WARMING BOWL

Actually, you are doing everything right! After initially placing the bottle on the mound (to prevent air pockets) the bottle will naturally float upwards as the breastmilk begins to be surrounded by water and the warming process begins.

For your newborn’s safety, it is important to check the temperature of the milk before feeding the baby. That can only be done with the teat in place.

Our warming bowl does not require electricity or batteries - all you need to do is add warm water. It is the optimal warming product for breast milk.

Health professionals and the World Health Organization recommend that you only warm breast milk in a bowl of warm water to prevent overheating (which can lead to nutrient damage) and hot spots from forming. Thanks to its unique geometry, it warms both Nanobébé bottles and breastmilk bags 2 times faster than other warmers on the market at safe and even temperatures, so that precious nutrients aren’t destroyed by high temperatures.

It is also the only eco-friendly warmer on the market (because helping to preserve our environment for our future generations is great). No electricity, no settings, and zero fuss!

Many other bottles can be warmed using the Warming Bowl. Because the design was created with a mound to fit our Breastmilk Feeding Bottles, you may have to add additional water to reach the desired level on your bottle, and taller bottles may not fit. Keep in mind that the warming speed and uniformity of the temperature will not be equal to that of using the Breastmilk Feeding Bottle in the warmer.

Note that if you are using a silicone bottle, it is best to warm your formula or breast milk prior to putting it in the bottle due to silicone's temperature-resistant properties.

The goal is to heat breast milk to approximately at or a bit below body temperature which is 98.6°F/37°C.

The amount of time it takes cold milk to reach body temperature varies with the quantity of your breast milk and the temperature of the water in the bowl. The higher the temperature, the quicker the heating process occurs. Due to our design and geometrical shape we are able to warm milk twice as fast as other bottles on the market so your little one can be fed and satisfied quickly.
